Winter warmers

DSC_0120-3 It hasn’t exactly been the coldest of winters so far in London, in fact it’s quite the opposite and it’s been mild all the way through December. But as usual January brings with it a bitter chill, and so I can’t help but try to wrap up and block out the cold. That’s what this outfit is all about: an attempt to stay warm without hiding the essence of the outfit under bundles of layers and scarves. Continue reading

Black and blue

DSC_9455This is quite an exciting post for me because something that’s been on my blog to-do list for a while now is to move away from my spontaneous and unplanned outfit posts, and give you something a little more professional. Well, here we are, an outfit shoot that was meticulously planned – and only slightly awkward for me! Continue reading

What I wear to work

Topshop ootd

Topshop skirt | H&M top | Gabor boots

There’s no point in lying; the best thing about working in retail for a brand like Topshop is the discount. I might as well not get paid because as soon as that money comes in it goes straight back to them via the clothes that I buy. But it has done wonders for my wardrobe, and seeing as my life is now spent at work I use every shift as an opportunity to showcase my new purchases and try to remix them into as many outfits as possible. I share my #ootd’s regularly on Instagram and thought I’d share a few here with you also! If you want to see more in the future then make sure to follow me @rosemolly93. Continue reading

Florence

SAMSUNG CSC

Last week I was lucky enough to spend 5 days under the scorching Tuscan sun in a villa with 17 incredible people. Although I didn’t really plan a post on the trip it just so happened that I have enough photos (919 to be exact) to put a little something together! After the stress of third year, finals, and the dreaded wait for results, six days of sun bathing, drinking (cheap) wine and non-stop laughing is just what I needed to unwind. Although we were based near Lake Trasimeno, we managed to fit in a quick trip to Florence – my favourite city in the world. We spent less than 24 hours there, but that was enough to soak up the atmosphere, take some scenic photos and of course try some ice cream. The temperature was reaching 38 degrees so it was a bit of a struggle to spend too long wandering around in the day, but as the sun started to set it cooled to the perfect temperature, and also gave us the perfect view over this beautiful city. If you haven’t been, go. And if you have been, go again.

Lazy weekends

CollageI had a wonderfully lazy weekend with a family friend who was visiting me in Bristol – we had a great night out on Friday, and spent the rest of her visit chilling out and eating as much food as we could muster! It was divine. I know that work is going to start building up from now on with just over three months left of my degree. It’s going to be back to the library this week, which is going to seriously limit my daily outfit inspiration. But on the plus side in about a month it’ll start getting warmer, so I won’t have to hide under layers and layers of coats and scarves everyday! Although I will find it hard to part with my navy fur…
