Mollipop 2.0

It’s been a bit quiet over here, and if you’re wondering why it’s because… Mollipop has moved! After a wonderful 2 years on WordPress, I have decided to completely relaunch my blog – and finally have the correctly spelt URL – using a different host site. Since graduating back in July I’ve had much more free time on my hands, and I’ve found that the quality of content on my blog now extends beyond the site itself. So, seeing as I was going to do a little rebranding and refreshing anyway, I thought I might as well go the whole hog and completely relaunch it!

You can now find me over on www.mollipop.co.uk, my own domain, and so officially my own little space on the world wide web! I hope that you will continue to read my words, look at my pictures, and take inspiration from my posts over there. See you soon over on Mollipop.

Current Beauty Favourites

Looking at these photos it could be the middle of May, with birds tweeting outside my window and a gentle breeze blowing through my open window. Alas, they were taken on a rare sunny January morning – but we can pretend, can’t we? Anyway, the Christmas stocking is a wonderful thing because it’s the perfect destination for beauty-sized presents that you don’t want to spend the money on yourself but need oh so badly, which is precisely where I got 3/4 of the products featured here from.

I shared some of my current beauty favourites back in September (here), and since it’s a few months down the line and I’ve made plenty new purchases I thought I’d share my new favourites with you! Recently I’ve been exploring autumnal makeup, so there’s a bit of a theme running through the products I’m mentioning today.

Textured autumn nails

My usual nail varnish routine is something like this: see nail varnish online, buy nail varnish, paint nails, (two days later) get bored and remove nail varnish, and repeat. Said nail varnish is then lost to my ever-growing nail varnish drawer, never to be seen again. Well, I’ve broken this cycle with Barry M’s matte nail varnish in Crush. It’s the perfect autumn shade, and having not tried matte finishes yet I’m pleased to say I am a convert.

Pink fur and Charlotte Tilbury

Seeing as I don’t have a personal photographer following me around capturing me looking into shop windows and brushing hair out of my face, I have to carry my own camera around with me and snap up any opportunity to take outfit photos. This time I was in the midst of a wonderful afternoon with the darling Lauren, who I met, and lived with, in Bristol. After living so close to each other at university, a catch up was much needed after almost two months apart! As for the outfit, I’m a little bit in love with fur at the moment, especially this gilet which adds a little pazazz to any old outfit. It’s also just the right amount of coverage for the cooler September temperatures, though I’m sure I’ll be needing sleeves soon enough…
