Pretty in Pastel

For someone with my pale complexion, the pastel palette that is storming the fashion scene this season is a God-send. I’ve always been a fan of ‘twee’, so naturally I’m welcoming pastels with arms wide open.

This knitted mesh polo top is the newest addition to my Topshop uniform but is certainly going to be a major player in my casual spring/summer wardrobe as well. The colour is surprisingly more versatile than you may think, but it’s also that little bit different. I’ve been wearing a vest top underneath to avoid the bitter chill seeping in through the meshed holes, but it’s still considerably concealed with just a bra underneath and would look great over a bright bikini top.

Tops are a great way to introduce pastels into your wardrobe if you’re not too sure where to start with them. They look particularly great with blue denim, but any bottoms that aren’t a harsh black should go pretty well with them! Here are some pastel pieces that I have found and love:
